HOW DOES HYPNOSIS WORK?


During hypnosis, the body and conscious mind are in a relaxed state, while the subconscious mind is awake and receptive to suggestion. This enables the client’s subconscious mind to accept positive ideas and concepts to overcome blocks and achieve desired outcomes. I use hypnosis to access the subconscious mind to help people get what they want as fast as possible. Along with hypnosis I combine counselling/coaching and other tools which complement the process. Positive powerful shifts are achievable using these methods and techniques. The aim is to help a person achieve what they want, rather than dwelling on the past and what they don’t want.

WHAT TYPES OF ISSUES CAN I WORK ON WITH HYPNOSIS?


People may want to clear a blockage, gain confidence, reduce their weight, change an unwanted habit, stop procrastinating, clear an addiction, take on a new behaviour or stop repeating an old behaviour. The list is endless. It can also be useful in treating pain.


HOW MANY SESSIONS DOES IT TAKE TO GET A SHIFT?


The number of sessions required depends on the person and the severity of the problem. I usually suggest 3 to 4 sessions which might include a mix of hypnosis and counselling, and then reassess after that. Quite often one session can create incredible change and combining that with a hypnotic recording to listen to at home is very powerful, enabling a significant transformation to take place.

It is important that a hypnotic recording is listened to daily for a minimum of 21 days in a row, in order to install new beliefs.


HOW LONG DOES A SESSION GO FOR?


Typically, a hypnosis session will go for 1.5 hours. However, I often tell people to allow for 2 hours just in case, so that nothing is rushed. I also suggest that clients rest and take it easy afterwards.


With one particular technique I will suggest a short nap afterwards - if your timing permits.


Allow 1 hour for a counselling/coaching session.


ARE THE SESSIONS FACE TO FACE OR ONLINE?


All sessions are online.


DOES HYPNOSIS WORK ONLINE?


Yes it does. I usually use Zoom or What’s App.

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT TO SEE CHANGE FROM THE HYPNOSIS?


Change from hypnosis can occur in one of three ways:

1. Instantly -


Some people complete a session knowing they have just experienced immense change on-the-spot and likewise

when listening to a recording.


2. Incrementally -


For others it is a slow realisation that their life and adverse reactions are improving bit by bit over time.


3. Retro-actively -


Some clients realise later down the track that they have had a positive shift within themselves. For example, some might feel as though the hypnosis has had no impact, only to find when they walk back into a familiar adverse situation, they are no longer triggered.

 

Similarly, a client might be working on improving family relationships and comment when they next see their son, daughter, sibling, or other family members, that the other person is now “much better” – not fully realising immediately that the positive shift is coming from

within themselves!


When a client is attending therapy sessions for hypnosis and/or listening regularly to a hypnotic recording, not only will the client likely notice a difference in themselves, but more often than not, those around them notice a positive change in that person too. Improving one’s life, improves the experience of those around them also. Therefore, the benefits are known to create a positive ripple effect for others.


DO YOU DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN HYPNOSIS?


Yes, I conduct counselling/coaching. The emphasis is on providing and teaching tools and techniques to enhance a client’s life as well as listening to and working with what the client has to say. RTT includes hypnosis and counselling, for example teaching the Rules of the Mind which was developed by Marisa Peer. Combined with hypnosis, this is a powerful formula in offering up new positive perspectives, helpful new habits, and more productive ways of being. I’ve seen many people become happier and much more fulfilled from participating in this form of therapy. This formula enables people’s lives to change in a wonderful way.
